Silvertips Hand Out Year-End Awards
Everett Silvertips Press Release
Everett, WA - The Everett Silvertips handed out their year-end awards Saturday night following a 5-0 win over the Chilliwack Bruins.
Shane Harper took home the Team MVP for the second consecutive year after sharing the award with Taylor Ellington last year. In a season that saw him become the Silvertips' all-time leading goal scorer, single-season goal scorer, and all-times game played leader, Harper was rewarded for his development by signing a three-year contract with the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers last week.
Ryan Murray was named the team's Rookie of the Year in a season that saw the 16-year old play top minutes as a defenseman, totaling 5 goals and 22 assists for 27 points and a 34 rating entering Sunday's finale in Spokane.
