Everett, WA - The National Hockey League's Central Scouting Service released its final rankings for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft on Wednesday, with three Silvertips recognized amongst the top draft-eligible North America-based prospects. The draft will be held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on June 25-26.

NHL Central Scouting revealed that Everett goaltender Kent Simpson was ranked 3rd amongst North America-based goaltenders, while defensemen Alex Theriau and Radko Gudas were respectively ranked 77th and 91st amongst North America-based skaters. The rankings announced the top North American and European skaters and goaltenders in advance of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Simpson, standing 6'2 and weighing 182 pounds, recently completed his 17-year old season in the WHL, in which he ranked second in the league with a 2.26 goals against average and .925 save percentage. The Edmonton, Alberta native rose four slots in the draft rankings from the midterm rankings. Everett's first round draft pick in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft, Simpson will get another taste of international experience when he represents Hockey Canada at the upcoming World Under-18 Championships, held April 13-23 in Belarus. Simpson previously represented Hockey Canada when he led Team Pacific to a silver medal at the 2009 World U-17 Hockey Challenge.

Theriau, standing 6'2 and weighing 189 pounds, recently completed his sophomore WHL campaign in which he recorded 24 points on four goals and 20 assists, along with 68 penalty minutes and a +12 rating. Acquired in a January, 2009 trade with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, the Duncan, BC native was originally selected in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft and has recorded 129 games played in the WHL. Along with Simpson, Theriau won a silver medal with Team Pacific at the 2009 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Gudas, standing 5'11 and weighing 192 pounds, recently completed his 19-year old rookie season in the WHL by recording 37 points on 7 goals and 30 assists, along with 151 penalty minutes and a club-record +45 rating. Acquired by the Silvertips in the first round (20th overall) of the 2009 CHL Import Draft, the Prague native represented the Czech Republic in the 2008 and 2009 World Junior Championships and split time between two professional Czech clubs in 2008-09. Invited to the Los Angeles Kings' training camp in 2009, Gudas rose 40 spots to the #91 overall ranking by NHL Central Scouting.
