Zach Hamill Records Assist in NHL Debut
Silvertips' franchise points leader records assist in Boston's 4-3 win at Washington

Everett, WA - Zach Hamill, the Silvertips' all-time points leader and a first round draft pick of the Boston Bruins, made his NHL debut in Boston's 4-3 shootout victory at Washington on Sunday. Hamill recorded an assist in on a Michael Ryder goal in the first period and drew an Alexander Ovechkin high sticking penalty.
Hamill, selected 8th overall in the 2007 NHL Draft, was recalled from the Providence Bruins, where he recorded 44 points on 14 goals and 30 assists in 75 games.
The Port Coquitlam, BC native is the all-time Silvertips leader in points (262) and assists (175), while ranking second in goals (87) and plus / minus (+38). Selected by the Silvertips third overall in the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft, Hamill won the 2006-07 WHL scoring title by tallying 93 points on 32 goals and 61 assists.
